Askinosie Chocolate is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented self-starter to join our marketing team around 20 hrs/week. This part-time position will support the Design & Marketing Manager by playing an active role in communicating the Askinosie Chocolate brand and story through a variety of channels and tasks. This is a fast-paced work environment at a company that’s been named by Forbes as one of the “25 Best Small Companies in America.” We are excited to find a hard-working individual who can, under the direction of the Design and Marketing Manager, support the marketing goals and objectives by performing the duties listed below.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Photography: Assist the Design & Marketing Manager with executing photo content for digital platforms and print collateral, namely product photography and post-production editing.
Web Maintenance: assist in front and back-end website maintenance. Including tracking inventory, updating front-end content & photography, and more.
Design: Use Adobe Suite to create unique pieces from scratch, maintain current pieces, or edit print and design pieces and marketing collateral. Create and maintain storefront signage and display materials.

Packaging Inventory: Monitor packaging supply levels and interface directly with vendors to reorder essential marketing materials (typically on a deadline) for the company.
Aid in the production and assembly of various special sales projects, such as large custom and/or Corporate Gift orders.
Customer Service: As a small company, many people on our team pitch in to respond to incoming telephone and email inquiries positively and professionally and assist with retail sales in our factory storefront.
Work as part of a larger group on special projects such as collateral design, packaging design, event-planning and more.
Assist with retail sales in our factory storefront, as needed.
Run marketing-related errands (picking up proofs, etc), as needed.
Handle various administrative tasks and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for:
A creative, willing amateur designer/photographer with a positive attitude, passion for learning, and an innovative approach to problem-solving
Superior photography & videography skills
Proficient computer skills (Windows, iOS, OSX, etc.)
Aptitude in Adobe Suite, specifically Photoshop & Lightroom with additional experience in digital and/or print design
Experience with social media platforms
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects/tasks at once
Personal laptop to be used while at work (preferred)
Must have reliable transportation
Knowledge or interest in chocolate/specialty food
Professional presentation; able to communicate clearly and confidently with an interest in occasionally interfacing with customers via phone and our factory storefront
Detail-oriented, organized, focused & a good time-manager
Smoking is not allowed at the workplace
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Light experience with photography– shooting & editing–is preferred.
Prior design and/or customer-facing work experience is ideal.
Experience with light video production for social media–filming, editing and posting–is a big plus, but not a requirement
